1. Is there a Register of Bowen Therapists?

There is no single register at present. However, this is one of the aims of the Bowen Forum and there will be a single register in due course. In the meantime, please contact the individual Member Associations of Bowen Therapists, as each has its own individual register.

2. What is Regulation?

A process by which occupational groups and professions achieve recognition through developing a common educational process, to ensure that members are of the required standard to enable them to practice in their chosen field. Contact details for the professional associations are available through the links page.

3. How can I know if a Bowen Therapist is qualified?

Ask them if they are a member of a professional association, and check with that body that the therapist is currently listed.

4. Is Bowen safe?

If you go to a registered Bowen therapist you should have no concerns about safety issues. There are some contra-indications which every therapist is aware of and relevant checks will be made before you are treated.

5. I am looking for a good Bowen Therapist. Can you tell me where to find one?

6. What do I do if I am not satisfied with the Bowen Therapist I have used?

If you are dissatisfied with your Bowen Therapist we recommend you write to the professional association of which your Bowen Therapist is a member.
