There is no single register at present. However, this is one of the aims of the Bowen Forum and there will be a single register in due course. In the meantime, please contact the individual Member Associations of Bowen Therapists, as each has its own individual register.
A process by which occupational groups and professions achieve recognition through developing a common educational process, to ensure that members are of the required standard to enable them to practice in their chosen field. Contact details for the professional associations are available through the links page.
Ask them if they are a member of a professional association, and check with that body that the therapist is currently listed.
If you go to a registered Bowen therapist you should have no concerns about safety issues. There are some contra-indications which every therapist is aware of and relevant checks will be made before you are treated.
Please contact our Member Associations individually for details of trained Bowen Therapists in your area.
If you are dissatisfied with your Bowen Therapist we recommend you write to the professional association of which your Bowen Therapist is a member.
